Dentists are encouraged to show their support for the Profession by joining and becoming an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society. The NVDS follows the tripartite membership structure as outlined by the American Dental Association. Membership in the NVDS is an integral part of membership in the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Virginia Dental Association (VDA). For recent graduates, reduced dues may be available.There are many advantages to membership. Aside from the camaraderie of fellow professionals, a nationally acclaimed Continuing Education Program brings world class speakers to Northern Virginia. The NVDS Legislative Committee actively addresses current legislative issues affecting the dental profession while the Patient Relations and Peer Review Committees of NVDS provide mediation services. Low cost insurance and reduced supply purchase programs are also included in the numerous benefits available to members.
